The Cowal and the Kyles of Bute anchorages have been simply idyllic for the start of our season with lots of sunshine which seemed to bring out the wildlife! There have been many sightings of porpoises around this April and early May, with sea eagles and other rare birds also frequently seen. Our 2010 calendar is now getting quite full, but there are still opportunities to come aboard with a few weeks still free for groups of four or whole boat charter. There are also plenty of opportunities for single travellers to join us; St Hilda is perfect for someone who enjoys an adventurous holiday on their own, but who will also appreciate friendly company to share those exciting times with! Our new flexible calendar has worked a treat. People have been able to book the length of trip and the departure date which suits them.
We are very pleased to have introduced people for the first time to the Cowal Peninsula - a beautiful, unspoiled coastline of spectacular sea lochs and stunning landscapes, yet only an hour from Glasgow airport. We have had amazing feedback from our guests who think that St Hilda, and our cruising area, offer something truly unique, at very good value. If you are looking for a family sailing holiday with a difference, an exclusive whole boat charter or just a single berth, please get in touch, we would love to welcome you on board!
J'ai eu le privilege de faire un voyage au bord de la St Hilda, a boat full of old world charm, what a pleasure it was to take the helm over the misty Scottish lochs, eat a meal in the middle of a sea loch and to taste an old Scottish malt while dangling a hook for a passing fish. Sailing aboard the St Hilda brings an internal peace from this enchanted region. To live simply and to relate to a warm and sympathetic crew - it is a marvelous adventure, an escape from an agitated world.
