Departs from Holy Loch, Dunoon on a Saturday at 3 pm and disembarks the following Monday at 11am.
This holiday is designed to give you a complete escape to another world if you only have a weekend to spare. The St Hilda heads for the Kyles of Bute for two days and nights to enjoy the spectacular scenery and have a complete break away from it all. You can be as relaxed or as active as you please. In the unlikely event of very stormy weather, the trip would focus on Loch Long and Loch Goil, anchoring at Carrick Castle
Example holiday itinerary
- Day 1 Sail for the beautiful Kyles of Butes and enjoy dinner at anchor in one of the most spectacular coastlines on the West Coast of Scotland. After dinner lay lobster pots or try fishing from the boat.
- Day 2 In the morning lift the pots and explore the sea lochs of Riddon and Striven, watching for grey seals and marine birdlife or go ashore to explore.
- Day 3 After breakfast, enjoy a scenic sail back to Holy Loch for disembarking at 11am.
We wanted a holiday that was a bit different and one that would suit the whole family from our oldest son at 22 to youngest daughter at 8 years.
